How to cleam my CAI filter - Hyundai Performance Forums

Ok, I got my AEM intake about a almost a month ago. I spent about 4 day driving arouns on dirt roads and think I need to cleam my filter. But I don't know how? HELP!?!?!?

What kind of filter are you using?

If it is a K&N the directions are on the cleaning product box.

You should be able to get some K&N filter cleaning solution and filter oil, if it is a K&N, from almost any auto store. It's quite easy... full instructions come with.

It's the filter that came with my AEM CAI, I don't know if they use K&N fillters?

If it's K&N, it will most likely say on it somewhere. I would think the K&N cleaner and oil would do just as good of a job. Anyone else tried?

AEM uses K&N filters.

If its a cone filter, that KN filtercharger kit should work fine for it no matter what brand it is.

Also, if you have access to an air compressor, you can dust it off pretty easily too. It's a quick clean after going down a real nasty road. :??:
