Default how to remove scratches from console

i'm not explain how and why they got there because i'll start to cry and get all mad again, but on the passenger side of my console (where the floor board meets the console) there is a long scratch there. is there anyway to remove it? or cover it up so you can't see it?

My glove compartment and dash console were scratched to hell when my system got ripped off (by use of a crow bar too)

Your best bet, in my opinion, would be to lightly sand the scratched area and paint (or re-paint) the area. I plan on doing this as well, but not until summer when it's warm... and paint will dry properly.

my homie's an installer at a local car audio shop. He said they use a light torch (no huge hot flame just a small controlled one) and it takes the scratches away by blending them in with the other plastic. Just what he told me?

good call

right away i was thinking "Won't that blacken everything?" but if it's a LIGHT torch that may work

or even a heat gun, perhaps? I think that would only work IF it's not painted
