yeah it would be good for your tranny may get rid of some grinding if your having that problem i filled mine with half lucas oil stabilizer and half with 10w-30 and no more grind. shifts clean

one time i raced a snail with my Tib. he took me off the line but once i caught traction i accidentally ran him over while attempting to pass. i won by default, but since i was obviously catching him to be able to run him over i figured that i would have won anyway.

i know sometimes motoroil can be used in a trnasmission.
I personally think its a dumb idea.
You just put in a fluid deisgned to lubricate, while yes you need that for the gearing, you also need friction for the syncros to work properly.

10w-30 would be fine in the tranny if you had a Honda(it's what the manual calls for), but for our cars it should be something like 75W-90 gear lube

thats why i mixed it with half lucas oil stabilizer its very thick stuff

well 75w-90 is 10w30 in motor oil viscosity.
but motor oil is not designed for the enviroment that transmission fluid goes through.
::shrugs:: its your tranny...just if it breaks...I hope I dont see you blaming it on hyundai, when you are running motor oil in your tranny. heh

Of course not.
But long term tranny condition is a concern.
As is quality of shifting.
