Default Morey's Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer

Has any one used this in their tibs?

I was wondering if it would be any good for our trannys?

100% Petroleum produxt.Blends with any oil,grease,synthetic or petroleum
Uses:
Petrol Engines-old,new or rebuilt
Diesel Engines
Power Steering
Manual Gearbox's
Automatic Transmissions
Diffs
Hubs
Hydraulic Systems
Motorbikes
Chains & Bushings.
(Not suitable for Silver Bearings)


any advice? I have a 97 tib.
i cant find redline mt? around my ways.

yeah it would be good for your tranny may get rid of some grinding if your having that problem i filled mine with half lucas oil stabilizer and half with 10w-30 and no more grind. shifts clean

one time i raced a snail with my Tib. he took me off the line but once i caught traction i accidentally ran him over while attempting to pass. i won by default, but since i was obviously catching him to be able to run him over i figured that i would have won anyway.

i know sometimes motoroil can be used in a trnasmission.

I personally think its a dumb idea.

You just put in a fluid deisgned to lubricate, while yes you need that for the gearing, you also need friction for the syncros to work properly.

10w-30 would be fine in the tranny if you had a Honda(it's what the manual calls for), but for our cars it should be something like 75W-90 gear lube

thats why i mixed it with half lucas oil stabilizer its very thick stuff

well 75w-90 is 10w30 in motor oil viscosity.

but motor oil is not designed for the enviroment that transmission fluid goes through.




::shrugs:: its your tranny...just if it breaks...I hope I dont see you blaming it on hyundai, when you are running motor oil in your tranny. heh

Of course not.


But long term tranny condition is a concern.

As is quality of shifting.

its not pure motor oil.
