when i changed my rotors i noticed that my left rear caliper was shot, so i bought a new one, it dont work completely.
the brakes have never been great, and still arent, after new pads and rotors and now a new caliper, i still dont stop as good as any other car ive driven...
i was driving down an empty road and the road was wet, i decided to see if the caliper worked. i put the clutch in at about 40mph and yanked the e brake. i started to slo down and then all the sudden i could tell the rear locked up...the cars but started to turn to the side and i started to face the right...i turned the wheel left and put the brake back down and it starightened out.
from what i can tell, my rear right locks, but the rear left doesnt...why not? did i re install the caliper incorrectly?

On the rear end, when you yank the e-brake, a cable does the work. On each cable from the caliper is an adjustment to tighten up the cable. Each end of it should be the same tighteness. If one side is looser, you will not have good braking on that side.
On my car, I adjusted the cables to lock up the rear brakes tight enough so I can actually drag the rear end around with the wheels not turning.
Does the RD Tib have a parking that actuates the rear calipers, or does it have a drum-type e-brake built into the centre of the rotor? The problem might not involve the caliper at all.
stickshift, i figured it was the caliper that worked the e brake. since the rear right locks fine and the rear left doesnt, i figured it was bc of something I did

check to see if the e-brake cable it hooked up properly and get someone to pull up the brake and see if it's working.. if so then just tighten it... if not it could be a snapped cable

the ebrake on the rd uses the caliper. there is no drum in it

one time i raced a snail with my Tib. he took me off the line but once i caught traction i accidentally ran him over while attempting to pass. i won by default, but since i was obviously catching him to be able to run him over i figured that i would have won anyway.

Make sure you try to get the tension even as possible between both sides. I can do this by adjusting the cabl;e, yanking on the brake and dragging the rear wheels by moving the car. If one wheel turns, tighten that one up a bit and repeat the process.
didnt work. i yank the brake while its jacked in the air and the wheel doesnt move, once its on the ground i can yank it at any speed over 5 mph and the rear left doesnt lock! I HATE THIS CAR
