Here's the problem, I've posted this before but never got a response. My Tranny on my 01 Accent is driving me !%%^&ing nuts! I took the car to the dealership about 2 months ago to get a simple gasket fixed on the tranny(under warranty) and since I got the car back from them, third gear grinds when I downshift from 4th to 3rd, at any speed over 25mph!!! and sometimes form 2 to 3rd. I need help with this since I'm about to go over 100k. I was told at the dealership that yes they heard the gear grind but that I would have to speak to a field rep from Hyundai, because they cant do drivetrain work on a car with over 60,OOO on it!!!! Complaint on record at Hyundai when Veh had 95K.
You're about to go ovre 100k which means you are still driving the car with the problem, correct? So by the time you bring it back it will have over 100K miles. Good thing you have the report on record at 95K miles.
I'd ask for something in writing as to the reason why they can't work on a drivetrain with over 60k miles being that Hyundai drivetrain warranty is 10yr/100k. Keep us informed on this.
well, you could call hyundai, but maybe, if you have a problem, and noone will help, if you can find them, then maybe you can call, the A-team!
