truck related problem here. if im taking a sharp turn, and keep on the gas, the truck makes this noise. the only thing i can think of right now that it resembles is when you move a table or something across a tile floor, or across cement how it kinda bounces as you drag it. i guess its kinda a fast knocking noise or something. could it be the power steering going out? also, when ive been breaking, or coming out of a turn, its making these popping noises, like something is breaking off. :??:

Easiest way to check is to jack up each tire and see if there is any play in it. Excessive play usually indicates a wheel bearing. Check the suspension compenents for excessive wear or dry joints. Might even be a CV joint.
I won't be a CV joint, as endlessmike has an S-10 pickup (right??), but it could be the differential(?).
I'd say differential, steering or wheel bearing if it only happens during turns.
May sound retarded, but do we even have a differential? I didn't buy any of those lsd things if that's what your refurring to. I know I'm retarded when it comes to tranny's and such cuzz im too scared to mess em up.
CV joint and boots are probably going bad. When they go bad, the shaft moves in and out of the hub causing that horrible noise. Same thing happened on my old Subby, $700 for one wheel! irate:
*EDIT* oh truck? i wouldn't know. but the sound you describe is indicative of bad CV joints. probably bearings, or maybe loose brakes?
It's wierd though, Wouldn't I feel something in normal driving if my CV or wheel berring was going out? My car just drives fine unless im going quickly through only a LEFT turn. right's dont do it for some reason???
