Default constant chime...

yeah i just bought my Accent less than a month ago, so im kinda disappointed in finding out that my car is messed up already.

ok well when i put the key into the ignition there's a chimeing sound... u know the one u get when your door is open... but my door is closed. everything is shut securely, but the chimes still there, i turn on the power, its still there, i turn on the engine, its still there... i drive and well... its still there...

im getting it fixed later this week, hopefully newayz, but im curious as to did anyone else have this problem? or am i just unlucky?

The chime is going off for a reason. Getting it fixed is the best thing to do. Most alarms use that circuit anyway.

It could be a short in the circuit for the door-open switch.

well it turns out to be the SEAT belt chime... yeah fooled me. took it to them on monday and they temporarily rewired the faulty wire or watever to the dashboard so instead of making that annoying chime, the door/trunk ajar lights flash, but its hardly noticable during day, then took it to them again on tuesday and they fixed the thing, so eyah ^^, glad to have my car working again... and the alarm system works too ^^

newayz thnx for ur helps
