Default transmission are sh|t

i'm been havin trouble with the trans from my 2000 accent gsi 1.5l sohc. The car is on it's 4th transmission and i put one in and now rebuilding it becuz it only lasted 35000kms
it's something to do with a pin that holds the gear selector thats in the trans together. This pin either breaks or falls out and the trans becomes stuck in the last gear it was in. the shifter feels like rubber and u can't change the gear even if u try movin the gear selector where the shift linkage connects to. if anyone has had this problem or knows anything about this give me a shout either on the tread or email me at Evan_Jacquard97@hotmail.com. I hope i can figure something out so it doesn't happen again.

maybe its the way you drive, you can't power shift an accent, its not built for it.

is it a manual?

next time its apart just weld it on. of course the syncro connectors are cast aluminum so youll probably need a tig welder. just put a dab in front of each side of the pin and if you ever need to replace it (which would be VERY unlikely) then just grind or drill it out.

other than that, you got me.
