Default how to replace center hatch stop light

the stoplight bulb on the tailgate or"Hatch" went out

do i have to take apart the whole plastic panel to replace it??

mine went out too. i checked the bulb and it was fine. guess its a fuse. it's not that hard to take it apart. it'll probably be easier to just take out the panel to get to it.

pop the plastic cover in the boot just behind the light
unbolt the light as disconnect the connector. Pull the whole unit out, pull it apart and switch the bulb

To elaborate a little, it's the three black bolts when you get the plastic cover off, not the one brass one.
