Default No traction!

Another day another problem with the tibby.

My dad had been complaining that there was bad traction on the car, but i hadn't felt anything.

But today i was driving on gravel, and with just a small turn the rear looses all traction/grip. Was as if i was driving on ice doing a handbrake turn.

What could possibly be the problem? I'm afraid it's going to be an expensive fix.

Strangely enough, I have a similar problem. Ever since I got my new rims and tires, at speeds of above 55-ish miles an hour, my back end feels really loose compared to the older tires. When I brake hard from speed, the car will pull to the left and right. But only from above 55-ish. below that, everything feels solid.

But like you, I have like, zero clue what it is. O.o

sucks doesnt it!

I have stock rims and tires. Took it to the shop today and they test drove and said that nothing was wrong, that it could be that these tires under perform on gravel??

It could be the tires, in fact it most likely is, or the fact that the suspension was developed for driving on paved roads, not gravel. Its easy to get tail happy in the gravel regardless though, as there's less overall grip available.
