Default please delete this post as it is a MESS!!! sorry...

hey gang, I think my water pump is leaking. I am low on coolant and al though I do see 2 small drips under the rad from time to time, it seems like a big loss to be coming from the water pump! Anyhow, only 60 bucks for the part and damned if I Am going to pay the labour. I See you need an ID to get on webtech now, so can someone tell me how to replace my water pump (just did timing belt 15k ago, but for 14 bucks I will do it again)!

Thanks in advance, tj

No I am not....I Dont know where it is coming from. My money is on the rad, but outside the rad and pump where else could it be leaking? (besides hoses which look fine)

into your motor, which is really bad.

get your car warmed up, and then have a buddy whatch your tailpipe as you drive away, you shouldt blow out vapor when you car is warmed up all the way. only for the first 5 minutes.

told you it was sneaky..

hmm..I highly doubt it is going into the engine...I saw green coolant on the ground today and yesterday under the rad area....just seems weird that I lost soo much over the past few days.

UPDATE: I put some 3 dollar stop leak that has some oil that is supposed to lube the waterpump. Anyhow, car is no where close to overheating and the coolant level is remaning the same with no leaks. In any event, I am going to keep a close eye on the coolant and temp and will update if needed.

I talked to a mechanic and he tells me that the Waterpump will only leak when it is entierly dead! So, makes me think it is a hose...I need to monitor it closely and replace when I find it. I doubt it is my head gasket becuase I have no white smoke coming out of the back (after the first little bit of course) and there is absolutly no power loss or funny sounds!

what that mechanic told you is not entirely true. If seen plenty of water pumps leak through the weep hole when the pump itself is still in perfect working order. also the gasket around the pump can leak
