When I am stopped and the car is in Neutral (5 speed) there is a loud ticking coming from the engine area. When I push in the clutch, the noise dissapears. I thought it could be a valve ticking, But if that was true, then pushing in the clutch wouldn't stop the noise. All of this is at idle, when the engine is warmed up. Any Ideas? (afraid of the bad clutch answer)

Is the ticking accompanied by a rubbing sound, that seems to dissipate through the driveline? If it is just a light tick, it could be the pilot bearing. If it is more forceful, and pronounced only when the clutch is not pressed, (IE it stops when you press the clutch) then it's almost definitely your throwout (release) bearing.
Good news is, they're both cheap (I dunno about you guys, my pilot costs $15 and the release $25, $40 from the dealer) but you also have to dissassemble the transmission from the engine to get to both of them.
On a lighter note, check the bolt tightness between engine/tranny. While it is extremely unlikely that they are coming apart, it happened to me once (auto to manual swap, apparenlty not tightened down all the way) and there was a few mm of play between the engine and the tranny. You could imagine some of the noises that stopped happening AFTER I tightened down the starter and 3 top bolts... and the number that extra play did on my rear main seal :dead:

No other noise besides the ticking. Loud enough to be heard from inside the car with the hood closed. It seems to go completely away when the clutch is pressed. By that description it sounds like the throw out bearing? And I am now wondering if that would be under the warrenty or not?:hmmm:

You dont think they will call it an abused part and charge him for it? Also some of the newer hyundais don't have pilot bearings. Mine didn't, not sure about the v6 trans. Just the rear engine main with the next bearing being the throw out.

ITs also getting herder to shift. The car got locked in 4th when I was trying to downshift around a corner. Had to release the clutch and re apply to get it to shift out. Time to save some pennies I think.:ermm:

I don't think they have any grounds to call it an abused part. It should be warranty work. You'll probably get told it isn't covered though, but if you call Hyundai customer service it will almost surely get covered. The dealer is not the highest authority.
