Default 98 accent automatic- won't go in reverse???

so yeah my sisters car all up and stopped poing in reverse. its something in the tranny (valve body, solenoid????)

the shifter goes in reverse, i can hear the revs pick up a bit like its supposed to, the reverse lights turn on but it just sits there like its in neutral. the car goes in drive and shifts normal but reverse just stopped working?!?!?!? i know the fluid needs to be changed and im going to do that but is there anything reverse-function related that i can try replacing while i have the pan off? if its internal then im not going to bether fixing it but if its just something i can unscrew and replace while i have the pan off i will...

HELP!!!!!

**EDIT**

i am looking at teh parts catalogue with reasonable concern.. are all these valve bodies accessible, or do i need to take the whole thing apart... can i just buy the whole body assembly from the dealer pre-assembled (part # 4621022511) and get at it with the pan off?? i hope so because i dont feel like messing with individual valves... gre::gasmask:
