Default Trouble pumping gas...

Yeah so the last 4 times I've put gas in my car the auto-off feature on the pumps tweaks out on me. It's as if something is blocking the tube that carries the gas down into the tank. It will pump for about 5 seconds and then turn off and you can see abit of gas coming up out of the hole. I've gone to 5 different gas stations thinking it was the pumps, but it wasn't obviously. Oh and the tank is not full at all when this happens. Any ideas?

I've had that happen on a few different vehicles after someone siphons gas out of my tank. I think it messes with an automatic one way valve located at the tank on some vehicles to prevent gas from pouring out if you flip over when they pull the tube out. Only things I've found to help besides pulling the tank and investigating are to run the pump at a lower flow rate or to stick a probe down the filler neck to see what's obstructing the flow.

I have had that happen a few times at the pump but I think with me it was just the pumps being messed up, but you said you tried different stations so that probably isn't it, I have never heard of what 187sks is talking about but it makes sense. I think I would try the slower flow rate.

There is a small filter on the canister close valve, located at the back of the vehicle off of the emissions canister. They plug up over time, replace it and check your canister close valve and you should be all good.
