We are in the middle of changing the rear driver's side brake pads (2000 tib) and the the caliper piston will not compress back so we can put on the new pads. We have tried pressing it down with a c clamp and we even tried using spring compressors. The piston will compress if the pedel is pressed. We have not opened the bleeder valve. It should compress with out having to use that correct?
No nevermind figured it out. You must turn the piston and it will go in. I did not see it in the hma service manual :chinese: it just shows a special tool but does not describe its use. I have never worked with rear disc brakes before. Even if i would have open the bleeder valve i still would have the same problem probibly. Thank you
