Default 95 Accent Fuel filter location - ?

I was wondering where is the fuel filter located in 95 Accent(SOHC), automatic., is it under the hood or under the rear back seat. I am mechanically inclined, so Can I do it.

the fuel filter on my '97 was under the hood, attached to the firewall
Regarding if you can do it yourself, depends on how rusted in place the nuts are.
There's safety precautions to take because you are working with flammable liquid, other than that it's pretty straight forward. Loosen, replace, tighten.
My filter got changed for the first time last summer.
I attempted to do it on my own but she would not move. In fear of breaking something I can't fix, I gave the job over to a garage to do.

Good luck, and remember no smoking!!

Another question is that, how I am going to release the fuel pressure before removing the filter, without that I think there would be fuel all over the place.

I'm not quite sure on all the details of relieving the fuel pressure, but I think I seen it on this site somewhere. That or it was in my Haynes manual.
Even after relieving the fuel pressure, you'll still need to have a rag handy for any fuel remaining in the lines.

Update: I just read in my Haynes manual that to relieve fuel pressure just disconnect power from the fuel pump and run the car until she stalls from lack of fuel.
The fuel pump is under your rear seat which are only held in with a couple of bolts.
