Default What kind of oil should I use in the tranny?

I know for sure I want to go with a RedLine product but I need to know what weight works the best with a 1997 Tiburon 5 speed. What have you guys tried?

i believe it is 75w/85 GLI-4 correct? I tried synthetic in mine then drained and went back to a regular oil. I dont have a specific brand that I find works better then any other.

MT-90 is the Redline product to use.

Also, how much will I need? 2 quarts? Isn't it like 2.3 quarts or something like that?

Yeah, you'll need to buy 3 quarts but you'll have over half of the third one left over.

The only two oils all Hyundai owners should ONLY USE are Redline MT-90 and Amsoil MTG GL-4. I have Amsoil MTG and my shifts are soooo smooth.

I have heard a few people say to add a little Lucas tranny oil in there as well. Could that hurt?

Yes, it can and would hurt. Never use the Lucas Oil Stabilizer. It bubbles up and entraps tiny air bubbles in your oil.
