HELP gauges quit working!!! - Hyundai Performance Forums

Today I shrink wrapped all my electrical connections for my ecu and afterwards i got no working tach or temp gauge!!! What could I of done? The gas gauge appears to be working and the airbag came on as usual but the cel light didnt seem to be working since its always on.... Ne ideas? Im goin to pull up some wiring diagrams....

Did you disconnect the ecu when you were doing all of this?

The battery was disconnected yes....

No, my bad. I mean, did you disconnect the harness itself from the ecu?

No I didnt disconnect the ecu harness itself. I shrink wrapped one wire at a time pulling the electrical tape off and shrink wrapping it. I just checked all the connections and their good. Checked the cel , no new codes. I got no temp gauge, tach, or cel everything else seems to be working so far.

so u cut off the shrink wrap and checked the connections and they are all good?

are the connections soldered or what?

Yes all the connections are soldered. I am beginning to think that during the process maybe i pulled a harness out the back of the instrument panel on accident? I asked my friend who had his out before and he said there is one big harness and two small ones. I checked all my fuses they are fine.....
