K&N Recharge "Oil" in engine.... - Hyundai Performance Forums

ok i had to "recharge" my k&n filter cause it was dirty as hell and i cant tell how much of the recharge oil is too much so i wanted to know if some of it get sucked into the engine by intake if it would be bad for the engine or if it would be ok causeit would just lube the engine and not harm it at all

you might see a drop of .01023912 hp by the oil displacing part of the air/fuel mix. No way thats going to do jack unless you sprayed a few cans of it into the filter with the engine running... and maybe even then it might not do crap. I think putting to much oil might restrict the air a little and thats about it.

That would be hard to do on that car. It has a MAP sensor

Please do not spam irrelevant information. I can supply the list of filters used by several top-finishing race cars here in Oz. Amsoil is NOT among them. ~MechaniX_034
