who knows about 02elantras? transmission PROBS
I just spoke to a trusted mecanic and he confirmed that I need a new transmission for my 02 elantra ... There was no warning sign of this happening, I've had all routine maint and have checked the fluid recently, there was NO leaking, shifting probs, overheating, etc ..... I drove to work, got in the car for lunch, put it in reverse and there was a clunking sound, and boom, the transmission litterally was hanging out the bottom, I have never heard of this in any car!
now the really messed up part is that my warranty expired only 180 miles ago! which is why I'm posting this thread --- I am not cynical - I know sh*t happens .. but I still owe a LOT on this car and the transmission??? I plan on contacting these people and would like to know if anyone else has had this problem??? let me know !!
