Thats a hell of a jump.

What else is it doing? The first thing Id go after if its a rough idle is plugs. If the engine just jumps around all over at any speed..... mounts. If its overheating/rough idle/blowing steam out of tailpipe/mixing oil and water THEN id say headgasket is gone.

Tell us more if you want help.

Its my moms car, she said when she revved it, reminded her of when a head gasket was about to blow on a car she had before, I'll check some of the things you mentioned tomorrow, then get back to you guys on here to come down with a conclusion.

I know she said all the fluids are fine, and it just shakes alot, whether its idle or driving. That's the most I do know so far, but she revved it and suggested that, I'm not sure. I do know she needs to replace the timing belt in the near future. But I wasn't thinking anything to do with that.

If the timing belt was bad it would be dead already. I think it either needs a tune up or the mounts have crapped out on you.

ahh, thanks, I'm calling hyundai mechanics tomorrow about it, I'm hoping it'll be cheap, cos I'm paying. I also have trouble with my scoupes tranny, maybe you can help there too? It slips out of gear while shifting into OD, obv. when OD is on, but doesnt slip out of any gear with OD off, normally falls out around 35-40. Also, with od off, if I accelerate too fast, it kind of makes a dragging sound? I don't know how else to explain that, sorry. thanks though
