Default Is this possible? Please help I'm losing my head!

I just don't get it... ever since I made my beta swap the car was running just fine but with a CEL. Ok, I didn't pay much attention and for a couple of months now the car drove very well but with a really really bad mpg. So, I went for a cel scan and I have a map sensor low voltage or sth like this crap. I double, triple check my wiring , I even changed the damn map sensor and the stupid cel is still there. There is noway I get rid of it whatever I do, voltage low, voltage low, voltage low and sh!t. I was really pissed that I disconnected the damn thing and I went for a ride. You know what??? Nothing! The car still run fine without any bog or anything at all! Is this F****** possible? The car runs without a map sensor?! I'm pissed as hell.. I just don't get it. Any help here?

PS I'm running beta engine with 1.6 ecu (map based)
