Default O2 sensor & heat shield problem

Hey. I am trying to replace my O2 sensors, but my heat shield for the manifold bolts are rusted on. Also the O2 sensor wont even budge. What should I do? Thanks!!

Take it to a muffler shop and have them heat it up. It will damage the sensor though. But its the only way I was able to get mine off.

Liquid wrench didn't help. Vice grips and a hammer did nothing. Cracked a Stanley socket and broke a Stanly socket wrench using a 3 foot breaker bar. Was on my way to pick up some Craftsman tools (that way, i can return them if they break again) but swung by a muffler shop on the way instead. 2 minutes of heat, the guy removed it like it wasn't even torqued down. Amazing what a little heat can do.

Did they heat the whole O2 sensor or just the nut at the end? I could heat it up with a propane torch, so where did they heat up the O2 sensor? Thanks!!

Heat the manifold, not the O2 sensor.
