1998 Elantra 1.8L Timing Belt Questions
Before I remove the timing belt I marked their position, but should I reset it to the factory marks or just use the marks I made before removing the belt?
The motor shakes a tiny bit at idle, kinda like a purring cat but nothing that bad, but it is there. Is that from just a worn timing belt?
Also, the Timing belt cover gasket fell off into about 7 pieces, Do I really need to put this back on or will it be ok without? No parts store sell them and I need my car back together asap.
If I do need to reset to factory timing marks, can someone please post a diagram for me so I know which marks to lign up.
