F-ing ticking
my lovley tiburon which i could not get the engine to stop ticking. i tried engine flushes (6 oil changes in a row). i switched to synethitic and 5w-30. i inspected the timing chain that the dealer replaced and found that they did not reinstall the upper timing chain guide. put it back together and that didn't work. pulled it back apart and found that 6 HLA's were not working. i dicided to swap the bad ones by putting them in a diffenert position. they started working and the good HLA's that were put in the bad slot are not good. guess what, the f-ing engine is clogged. i hab to removed the whole head. i soaked it in kerosene and sprayed out the small oil prts with carb cleaner. put it back together and it seems to be doing weel. the head gasket cost about $100. that is for the part. evey other gasket cost atleast $10 a peice. that sucks.
the moral of the story is flush your engine atleast every other oil change. the person who owned the car before me didn't take care of this car and screwed the next guy. by the way this engine ticking started at 40,000 miles.
