Default New Magnaflow install *pics/video*

Today I bought Ruben's old Magnaflow 14836 Street Series muffler and we took it to a shop to get some piping fitted for a cat-back .. it is hard to hear the loudness of it in the videos.. it is VERY loud.. but very loud like bassy loud and not ricey.. the only time it "farts" is during first/second mostly.. I like it but I think I'm going to invest in a Radar Detector because I don't want to have to take it off or anything.. here are some pics and videos.. I am going to try to record some audio files in a minute with my iPaq .. Thanks Ruben 8)

Not tryin to be a dick or anything, but most Honduhs sound like that on the inside. All of the interior and sound deadening will make all the higher pitch fart noises be MUCH quieter inside the cabin. Have someone drive your car hard as you stand beside the road and you will most likely be amazed at how much it sounds like a Honduh.

My car does the same thing, and I can't stand it in the least bit.

Well I don't think you can say "it sounds like a Honda".. that's a pretty generic/biased statement .. I like how it sounds. It's very bassy and deep and the little farts I am already used to .. if I get sick of listening to it, I just crank up my music even louder Yesterday I wanted it quieter and now that I've gotten used to it, I want it louder

Last night as I was leaving my friend's apt. complex, some red Civic heard me coming and pulled over to the side of the street.. when I made a left turn out of the complex, he followed me and was behind me at the light. At the light, the lane splits into two.. he takes OFF at the light and zooms ahead of me.. his exhaust was very high pitched and ricey sounding.. therefore I disagree with the statement that my car sounds like ALL HONDAS.. cuz I found ONE that doesn't

mostly it's fun to have people try to race me and ignore them like i am blind

Thanks..

It was done by Valley Mufflers.
They have 2 locations - El Cajon (619-442-2141) and Santee (619-562-4980). Mine was done in El Cajon.

if your refering to the slight pop between the 1st/2nd shift, most exhausts do that even full bolt on exhaust like our kore one. And the reason why people have dedicated countless hours making fun of import bumble bee exhausts is the higher the rpm in a straight through muffler the more vibration occurs. That is the packing inside the muffler acutally vibrating the sound as it comes out. Even most stock mufflers will do this, just not as loud. The only way to dampen this is what material you use to pack the muffler with.
