Default 1996 Accent Beta/Trans ?

I have a 1996 Accent just bought a 1999 Beta Engine was wanting to know if the Beta bolts up to the stock Accent Manual trans with no modifications. If not then what do you need to make it work? Thanks for any and all info..

it will bolt straight up to the bell housing but you will need a scoupe turbo clutch, beta flywheel, you will also have to custom fab the passanger motor mount. also you will need the starter from the donor engine. if u have any more questions feel free to ask

The easiest thing to do is look at the sandwich plate's and see if they are idenitcal,(so compare them) if they are they you gave the green light. The accent and beta box will fit visa/vera..

Worse case scenario one of the holes do line up,then you can modify the gearbox to suit the bolt pattern of the motor. Thats how i got my scoupe motor to fit on a accent motor.

Okie the next question is! How well does it work and how long does it last?

The Hyundai Performance .co.za Workshop no longer does Beta swop's onto accent gearbox's becuase they say, within a week it Alpha tranny gets chewed up in a week and that was on a 1800 motor and if a beta is turbo charged you will be lucky if it last a day.

now i understand that that was their fining's but it cant be that bad cos then no one will reccommend it would they?

i have it installed for more than 1 year, around 25.000 km, if works like a charm i also heard stories about alpha trannies dying, but mine made it, without a problem. I have an eaton m62 supercharged beta aacent with 195 hp.
