Looking at getting an aem intake with the bypass valve. I believe that you are supposed to cut the intake in order in install the bypass valve. Here's the problem, I am currently at college and because I'm not at home I do not have any tools that would cut up an intake with me. Any suggestions on how I could install it, or should I just order the intake without it (my car is lowered about 1.5 in).
Install it and add the by-pass valve later? Unless your buying it together as a package or something and its pre-cut You could install it later or take it to a shop and let them do it, or probably go to a machine shop and ask them to chop a hole in it Hell you could bring your buddy a pack of beer and tell him to do it. Just be creative :lol:

Dude, I see you live in Cali, unless it rains alot you will probably be ok without one. But if it is just for piece of mind then like I said, spend a couple dollars on a hack saw.

There is a replacement for displacement. It is on 2 wheels and 600cc.
You can install it between the MAFS and the intake. It only works when the intake or the filter gets clogged with water or such to avoid flooding of the engine so you don't have to worry about the temp of the air coming in or cutting the intake.
