Do you know this from experence or just from word of mouth? Anyone else with experences???

Thanks for your help,
Andrew

Is that product universal in application?

Im with the hyundai hater on this one, I mean how the hell is it supposed to help you, what the fuck does it do anyways, go get an SAFC controller and dyno tune that will get results, this will prolly just f uck with ur ECU or maybe wont do a thing.

Thanks everyone for your input. I will check out that link.

DynastyAccent:

No it is not a universial application. they have a testing facility and they get a stock car (of that year/make/model and tune the VENOM 400 to that car. It is suposed to modify the IMAP and TP sensors and adjust the signals to a accomidate a more aggressive fuel air map.

Thanks,
Andrew

Well this is what i got from the review... DONT GET IT. I have heard more bad storys then good. It seems that the only thing it does is allow more fuel into thew engine when the stomp on it. (what hyundai prevents with the ECU for fuel economy) so this is the only gain. When you are up to 4,000 and and stomping it, it doesnt make a difference. Also i would beleave that turining it on/off will decrease original performance (after all you ECU HAS learned with it on and now you are turning it off!!!?) It is like doing a mod and then not resetting your ECU Big Mistake.

It hooks to the TPS and MAP sensors so it doesn't sound like you can use it in the RD Tibs. You would only be able to use it on the Beta 2 motors.

It sounds like it makes your car run rich from the problems the one guy is describing. If so, I don't think it would be worth the $300.

BTW, Venom doesn't list an application for any Hyundai models.

:hmmm:

This is from both word of mouth and experience. While I've never used one on my car, I have done before and after drives with it on Hondas, and it really doesn't do anything.

On automatic Hondas, I've heard that it can provide a sliver of performance in midrange, but not $300 of performance.

Read the reviews on that site, you'll notice that the people who say it works are claiming like 15-20 hp gains. aranoid: You'd be lucky to gain 15-20 horsepower with standalone dyno tuning on a heavily modded engine. I'm sorry, but this little box did not give you 15-20 horsepower on your <200hp Prelude. :hmmm:
