Exhaust manifold to header

On the stock exhaust manifold, there is a probe of some type going into the manifold. What is it? If I switch to headers, what happens to that probe?:??: (you can see the probe in my engine bay pic)

Its the 1st Oxygen sensor, which the engine uses to enrich or lean out the fuel mixture. You have to drill into the header and attach a bung to fit the sensor. Without it, the car will run pig rich and throw a CEL.

I just installed a SR4-2-1 header,and it comes with the first O2 sensor bung.Then I cut the old bung from the stock exhaust pipe and installed it in the new pipe right after the cat.You will need to legthen the wire by about 2 1/2' for the O2 sensors.
