Cut out the resonator and it'll sound more aggressive, though you still won't see anything in terms of performance.

4 cylinders need 'some' back pressure, and running near stock n/a, aren't making enough power to pull much power out of removing the cat. just get a catback exhaust, and a high flow cat if you're really into that whole idea....
if u want more performance and you already have a cat-back or headers then yes use a hi-flo 2.5" cat. removing it will make your car smell like rotten eggs. and its not a faint odor either its pretty annoying. and maybe maybe maybe a .5hp gain.

There's the backpressure again....why does everyone feel the need to say 4 cylinders NEED back pressure....no cars NEED backpressure. Backpressure is something you try to avoid. Secondly, yes you will see gains from removing the cat, i'd say probably around 1-2hp. It will not be as clean, and it will have a different tone, if you can deal with that, and don't have a moral issue with causing more pollution lol then go for it

For starters you do need backpressure for almost all cars(n/a). Backpressure is good thing for your valves. look at all the cars w/ theses huge exhausts that are bigger than 3" for a n/a car, they sound like a can-o -angry-bees,and you loose torque, and not just a little.......
