Default aem bypass valve help

i have just recieved my aem cai. When going to put the bypass valve in i reliezed i managed to lose one of the rubber piece that go inside where the intake would hook up. Is it okay to just pust it on with out the rubber piece as long a no air leeks or should i get a new one. If i should get a new one where sould i do so, i really don't want to purchase a whole new bypass valve considering mine is brand spanking new.
thanks

If it is not a big gap, rap the end of the pipe with electrical tape, then wrap the outside of the valve where you clamp it with more tape to seale up the holes. Option #2 is to find a piece of rubber that fits in there along with the pipe. I have a 3" bypass valve with a 2.75" pipe, I had to cut up a silicone coupling to replace the rubber pieces and then taped the outside to be sure there were no air leaks. Hope this helps:rambo:
