1.8L cam & XD cam - Hyundai Performance Forums

I looked both put them side by side and they look just about identical. Is the difference invisable to the eye. Is there some noticable difference?

It seems the 1.8L is Preferable in light of the post regarding the Korean tuner. Correct?

No, the best one is the elantra cam. It's been discussed over and over.

no.. its the 1.8L cam more power thru out
the xd cam loses more power somewhere in the rpm range

Yes it's been discussed:

First it was agreed that the XD cam was the best.

Then after an email from the Korean tuner (big guy in korea) it;s been debated that the 1.8L was better beacuse the XD lost power in the hight RPM range (I believe). Anf also timing issues as well as wear issues.

Like I said they looked identical to me. just wanted to see I anyone knew the latest developments on this issue.
