does the maf work against mods

okay im not sure if this sounds stupid.
you have your 3"aem intake---->maf--->boredout tb--->bored im-->etc
how would you see the total gain of these the tb and im if the air still has to pass through the stock maf sensor which is smaller then everything else. doesn't seem like a strait flow of air. is there a way to redirect the maf into the 3" intake so that there is restriction on air flow. any pics

why do you have a 3" intake? most intakes for the Tib are 2.25 - 2.5

No the MAF does not work "against" your mods even though it may seem as such being the air is puched into a smaller tube (MAF) before passing into the TB.

I know this was sorta discussed earlier about using a 3" MAF...
