please use the search before asking such question that have been ALREADY COVERED.

And if you are lucky, you will learn enough why NOT to use a cupper head gasket to lower compression.

fyi - they use stock gasket in high hp turbo apps.

the theory behind a copper head gasket is that when your head is bolted on the copper has more sealing capability than a stock gasket . thus helping compression however in motors that produce high heat the copper tends to get a little soft that causes problems
if you want to put one on your car go to the maufacturer MR. GASKETT is one of them dont make a decision based upon someone on a forum that isnt trained to tell you the info ... happy motoringaranoid:

Running XP is like putting a dual exhaust on a 4cyl, loads of extra weight, and no gain

Howabout making a decision based on the umpteen-dozen different 350-600 Wheel Horsepower BETA engines that live throughout the world.

We don't use copper head gaskets for a reason... They blow up, melt, cause more problems than they solve, leak water without losing compression, allow oil to mix with the water, etc.

Use a stock head gasket. Save yourself a LOT of money, and a LOT of headache.
