Default Location of the knock sensor for Beta 2 Engine

Hi everyone

I have been to webtech to search for the location of the knock sensor. However, I cannot make out where the location is. It looks like its just below where the exhaust manifold is attached to the cylinder head...but when I looked at that location, its not there....does anyone knows where it is? Thanks.

It is for the SAFC2 but the problem is that I have copied the diagram from HMA but the harness diagram is completely different from the harness I have.

Found this purely ba accident. It shows the location of the knock sensor. If you've installed strut bars then you should be familiar with it. I'm sure you can tap into this so the S-ACF can utalize the knock function.

http://www.speedstate.com/Hyundai_Section/Hyundai-Do-It-Yourself__Guide/Hyu-Front_Strut/hyu-front_strut.html

let me know how it works, as I should be doing mine in a few weeks or so.

good luck,
Rojas

Probably the reason why the diagram is different is that they have a MAFS and we have a MAP sensor, and they have different ECU's (I think).

Lantraluvr....probably you are right.....coz the mod shop electrician mentioned that my car only has 50plus wires while the diagram showed 70 plus

King2nd...I believe the engine for the 1st and 2nd and probably the 3rd gen should have a knock sensor.....the problem is that the location shown in Webtech, and the picture from RojasTKD all are in different places:dead:

Sence you have an 'O1 Tib. And your's is a US version so the diagrams from above should work for you. I haven't done it yet, but should have no problem knowing the pin # from the diagram.
