Default exaust tip on a 2003 Accent GT

I was just wondering I wanted to buy a dual exaust tip for my accent I think it would look nice coming out the back,
but the muffler is so far up in the back bumper on the 03 accent, and plus it has a 45 degree curve on the end of the pipe. Has anyone else put an exause tip on their muffler and if so how did you manage it? I was thinking of maybe getting an adapter to make the 45 angle straight and putting the tip on the end of that, but I was just curious if anyone else had done this.

no offense but most people that look into buying exhaust tips already have a new muffler and piping chosen to be installed alog with it. and then mount it in the position they want. but if you insist on spending money on something that wont do anythnig for you, you can either

1.) cut your bumper to accomodate it

or

2.) weld new or re-bend your old hangars to make your muffler sit lower

or

3.) cut your tailipe from behind the muffler and bend a new custom s-pipe to attach from your muffler to your phatty chrome tip.

all of these are probably not worth doing IMHO but those are the options i can think of for you.

EDIT

i have a full exhaust going on my car this week and that wont even have a muffler tip. just a 2.25" pipre turned down just like the one youre trying to replace. i was thinking of a chrome/stainless 2.25 or 2.5" dual tip but then i realized that the $30 for a decent one is still not going to help any really and i already spent $800 on my exhaust i think ill save where i can :rambo:

maybe im just wierd. muffler tips are optional but ceramic coating is a must :

ive also wondered exactly how one of the dual tip mufflers with the bend ends would work.,...specifically on an LC accent GL......because that back bumper has an angled smooth surface.....i think itd look pretty sweet. But, i always envisioned it as being more than just a tip.......at minimum if youre going for the look of it, just get the whole muffler, not as cheap....but......
