old accents (single cam) have a messy sin wave out put with a larger wave at one point (the missing teeth).
look at your wireing diagram. if the sensor has a power (5V+) earth and signal connectors then it is most likly a square wave out put (halleffect). if it has earth and two wires on ether end of a magnet (inductive) then you will have a sin wave.
