The Guys at my shop tried everything to match my sender to my block but the fitting would not work so at this point I have a Gauge in my new pod but no reading unless I unhook the factory sensor but that is a NO NO!! Does anyone no the step by step pieces needeed for a proper install PLEASE HELP!!!:cry::cry:

There are two places you can go for the regulated oil pressure level. There is a little hex bolt on the end of the block by the ignition coils. It plugs an oil galley. It's a bear to get off, but once it's out, it's 1/8" BSP (british standard pipe) thread. I have an adapter from autometer and a sender unit/gauge from VDO.

See pics: http://www.geocities.com/acurtas/turbo/gauges.html

The other is the location for the stock pressure switch. It's in a drain galley, so the pressure will be lower than the actual pressure your HLA's and block will see. I believe the threading there is 1/8BSP as well.

Good luck,
AC

Faced with similar problems, a couple of us Scoupe Turbo guys fitted the sensor directly into the oil-drain plug hole in the oil pan......it works fine, just look after it when servicing.
