Default New/Old Gimmick or might this really work

Well, I was referred to a site called http://www.vortexvalve.com where they sell this thing(a vortex valve) that supposedly gives you more torque and HP while reducing emissions. Yeah I know, this is the same story as always. But after searching the site, no one has mentioned this product, though they have mentioned others.

The guy who I got the link from says he bought it and he says he gained 6 HP, which he verified with a G-Tech Pro.

Has anyone else heard of this?

no dude. this is like the tornado crap.
lemme explain it.
you put that thing in before your throttle body and it swirls the incoming air which is good. then as it passes through the throttle body, the flutter valve sorta negates the swirl. but possible, there is still swirl. now how is it still swirling while it goes into each of the four valves? its not. you just wasted your money, thanks for playing.

yeah I always figured the swirls where useless considering that the tb/IM will just stop the swirl as it is vacuumed in.
Now maybe(doubtfully) on tbi or a carb it might help atomize the fuel better, but you can do the same with a spacer, and a spacer is gauranteed to work.
