Default Camshaft Profile Measurement

Hello everyone

I have just bought a pair of RS Camshaft for my 4G92 engine. The sad part about it is that the seller does not know what is the duration and lift of the camshaft. I have searched the internet for answers but it was in vain.

So I am left with no alternative but to do a physical measurement. Can anyone advice me how do I go about getting the duration and lift measurement as I have not done this before.........:

Thanks....

Uncle Khooooooooooooo!!!

In order to degree a cam you must buy 2 things as well: A standing block for cylindrical rods[can be had at any heavy hardware store, try Lip Terk in Eunos, thats where I go for my stuff] and a drgreeing wheel. You might have to look around for this one because it's a piece of specialty equipment. When you can find these let me know, I'll explain the process. Eh, end of they year I come back gotta meet up, I wanna see the Lancer!:

Hello Uncle M_034

When you mention the degree wheel, is that the same one as the ones that is used to set adjustable sprockets which is a 360?.....if that is the same as you are talking about, I have already got that one.

I will try my mechanic tomorrow for the standing block.....I believe he should have one....Oooh just one more thing.....at the tip of the cams there is a prominent marking of J. S. ......I got a feeling that JUN Sports is the manufacturer of those camshaft

When you get back at the end of this year...you better call me or I am gonna kick your B*tt...hehehehehehe:lol:
