Default Water and CAI

well im thinking of getting a CAI that does down near the splash guard...so im just wondering waht kind of weather would be appropriate for me to take off the CAI and put back on my SRI so water wont get into the filter...

I'd say anytime there is any rain or anyplace you may be driving through standing water (big puddles, flood zones, etc) you should swap it out. Just leave the stuff in your trunk in case of emergency. Otherwise just get a bypass and worry not!:

they average around $30, and $40 dollars. E-bay useually has them cheap, just be sure to get the AEM brand.

my intakes diameter is 2.5"...but thats a damn good price for a bypass valve...thanks for the link...you have anything with 2.5" bypass valve?

the bypass is something I should invest in... my intake is VERY low.. right behind the driving light I installed in the factory fog light spot.
