Default underdrive pulleys

Okay... I've read all the articles previously written about underdrive pulleys but i'm still a little slow!! How does the underdrive pulley "make" extra horsepower??? What about side effects?? Will it help a car with minor N/A mods (CAI, cat back exhaust, magnecor wires)? Thanks!

It doesn't "make" horsepower really. You know how there is hp at the crank and also hp at the wheels? Well, the hp at the crank doesn't change but the loss of hp through the drivechange is less due to the lighter pulley. You get more hp at the wheels this way. I am definitely going to get one as one of my next mods. Probably after headers.

whats easier for you... bench press 10 lbs or bench press 100lbs....

question answered?

same pricipal as getting a lighter flywheel or getting rid of power steering

cool... so just by freeing up the pressure on the crank, more power can be transferred through the drivetrain to the wheels... 8D

Also, the pulleys are like 20% smaller than stock I think, so that means that your accessories turn slower and rob less power from the engine.
