Default Is it afe to....

Ok on a 1998 Tiburon is it safe to take of that piece of metal that says HOT on it? or is it there for a reason and I should keep it on, if it is a good idea to take it off what will I benifit from taking ot off?

you can take it off.. it just exposes the hideous looking exhaust manifold :hmmm:

I know that but are they really that bad looking?
I just want to take them off because I think that HOT plat thing looks pretty ugly but if I don't need to take it off then I won't, or will it help cool down the engine if I take it off?

Yes I think I would know that lol, but some of them can be pretty pricey.... I will have to shop around and check out Ebay.ca to ge the best price.

The heat shield protects you from the even hotter exhaust manifold and more importantly, it does help to keep the engine bay cooler.

There is a replacement for displacement. It is on 2 wheels and 600cc.

IF I were to buy the headers will I need to put the heat shield back on or is it just extra wieght?
