did you have to splice in new wire to extend the 2nd O2 sensor? If so it is possible that it might have come loose and one of the wires might have come off...check all the connections reset the computer and see if that works.

i have the same problem. extended the o2 sensor wires and the cel comes on after about 24 hours (i doubt that matters). the way i soldered and zip tied and electrical-taped the thing back together, i dont think it's a loose connection.

i'd say i'm in the market for something that sends back a signal that says emissions are within the tolerance level. either that or i'm taking the cel bulb out.

Law,
How is the car running?
I had/still have this same problem. I got my header installed in early August, and all was fine for a week, the the CEL came on. I have a very rough idle, rpms are jumping, black smoke and soot, and I'm barely able to get my Elantra past 50 mph.
I bought an OBD II scanner, and found out that my first O2 sensor is dead, and I also think I have a leak in the welding on the hi flow cat. I can hear a whistle at higher rpms that sounds just like a leak.
If you can, get your car scanned and see what code it is. P0130 or P0131 then your first sensor is dead. Also, make sure you have no exhaust leaks, since that will automatically trigger the CEL.

It runs pretty good still but I havent pulled the code yet. My CEL came on like a hour after the install after that I went and checked the connections nothing loose, then I even switched the two white wires thinking that maybe they got mixed up. I reset the ecu and a hour later it was back.

one thing it has a can of beez sound slightly:cry:

When I replaced my stock exhaust, that problem almost completely went away. Once the car warms up a bit, it goes away completely. So there is hope!!!
