Default Prices on Installing a Cat and Welding a Bung For O2 Sensor?

I just called 2 shops and one said $160 and the other said $100/hr for 2 hours.

I need my high-flow cat welded on and a bung welded on for my O2 sensor.

This price seems kinda high. :ermm:

it is... most places have a shop minimum though. your best bet is to buy a flange for the cat... weld that on.. so you can bolt your high flow cat on to the rest of the exhaust, rather than having one big piece that would have to be cut off, if you ever needed to replace something.

After calling a zillion places, most of which didn't want to mess with the cat and some who were way overpriced, I got it done at a Mineke for $100. Not bad, and no more CEL!!!!

Now, I hope I can pass inspection. The guy told me my car was way too loud to pass.

I have a question. Is there any type of a fake sensor that you can put onto the connector to the 2nd 02 sensor that would tell the computer they right signal? The reason I am asking this is because I had a bung welded for my 2nd 02 sensor and I am still getting a cell. Please let me know and also this might be a cheaper alternitive for you.

Regards,
Roy

I've tried one 4 wire MIL eliminator to get rid of the CEL, but to no success.
