should have probably gotten a new gasket, as the old one might not seal everything up quite right again due to deterioration.

i'd get a new gasket. its always good to replace any gasket after u take something apart and put it back together cuz it wont sit like it originally did.

u sure u connected everything back up.. also try the soap trick on ur hoses to see if theres a leak.. check hoses carefully first and around clamps to see if one is deteriorated.

Your loss of vacuum won`t be caused by a badly-fitting rocker-cover.......you will be losing oil from here when the engine is working hard though (if the seal is inadequate).
As the guys have said, you have probably dislodged one of the small-bore vacuum pipes, possibly the one connected to the fuel-pressure regulator.
Cheers,
Nick.

Check all the small-bore plastic/rubber pipes which connect to your inlet manifold/surge-tank assembly, while you`re at it, replace the PCV valve (rear of rocker cover)...it`s a throw-away service item & could lose you vacuum if stuck open.....has a vac.-pipe attached to it.
Hope this helps!.
Nick.

I think the valve gear cover only has TWO hoses.. (at least that is all my tib has) and they are pretty self explanatory where they go.

Can you hear an obvious vacuume leak?
