Default question about pulleys

i am driving elantra 2002 right now (automatic... T.T)
i often feel that elantra has really slow rpm gaining from 2500-3000
will changing pulleys help to get faster rpm gaining?
what difference do i feel if i change the pulleys?
and if rpm problem has nothing to do with pulley... how can i modify to get faster rpm reaction?

umm... my question was kinda ambiguous?? :|

if it was then sorry for the confusion... hehe

ok... first.. what does pulleys do??

then second... my 2002 elantra is lagging pushing rpm between 2500-3000

i just questioned that if i change to lighter pulleys then my second problem will be solved... uzzled:

By getting a lightened crank pulley, your car will rev much faster than stock. When you take weight away from the crank with the pulley, a lot of stress is relieved from it and it will be able to spin a lot more freely. If you change your pulley, you'll notice a huge difference.

yes.. by lightening up the rotating mass of the engine, it will spin faster and be more responsive to throttle inputs.. However.. I do not know if that will matter with your car being an auto..

Unorthodox has the best pulleys in my opinion. If you do plan on getting some, they would be a wise choice to look at.

just thinking that my car seems like often stuck between rpm 2500-3000 (not at the start dash but while i drive around) so if i change the pulleys it will help the problem..
