Idle air control?

Hey guys... I idle at like 1500 when comming to a stop out of gear and my idle is often irratic.. sometimes 750-sometimes 900

also.. I can get my RPM's to raise if I pump the brakes. ( about 200 rpms)

Any ideas?

my 2000 elantra does that when coming to a stop I wouldnt worry about it.

do u have a header??? or did u take off the heat shield??

no header.. But I did take off the heat shield.
