Have a 1.3l SOHC 12V Getz here in Mumbai India. Have done a lot of fooling around with the car adn have got some good results. Existing mosd to the car are:
1> K&N Extreme Series Conical Ait Filter with Short Ram fitment.
2> OWS Twin Iridium Plugs(Heat Range 6)
3> MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Plug Wires
4> Head Porting/Polishing
5> Intake Manifold Porting
6> Throttle Body enlarged by 2mm
7> Full Free Flow Exhaust 4x2x1
8> Piper BP 285 Camshaft
9> Tri-Phase Performance Module
10> 195/60/14 Yokohoma ES 100 tyres(OE 155/80/13)
I am very happy with the performance though would want more. Have managed to improve 0-100 km timing by 3.5 secs with all of the above over stock car.
My current issue is that I keep getting a trouble code which says "fuel mixture too rich bank". I get the trouble code deleted but it comes back every 75-100kms and then the performance and fuel economy also goes for a toss. What could be causing this. The car has hydraulic lifters and am unable to set the cam as per the spec sheet. The installer says that the can sensor will take the timings automatically. I have fabricated a adjustable cam wheel and was contemplating on fiddling with the cam timing.
Also will doing the following help:
1> Fabricate a new intake manifold which has a slightly larger diameter to improve the air flow as the existing intake provided is I suspect from a 1.1l Santro car sold here.
2> Install the intake manifold, throttle body etc from the bigger 1.5l Accent.
Will it fit and what is the advice from the experts here. A stand alone EMS is on the cards in the near future.
Thanks for your reply. I doubt that since I have been using the Tri-Phase for 2 months prior to installation of the Camshaft and did not get any trouble codes or performance issues. It is only after the camshaft that I facing these problems.
Look at this link for more info on the Tri-Phase. http://www.nextlevelracing.com/Triphase.htm
Well, if its performance you're after you might want to look into a set of 4-1 extractors with a proper merge collector built in, as well as a full catback and a sports cat. Anything more and you're looking at a piggyback or a higher compression setup, which will need better fuel and a piggyback computer.

I really don't know anything, but to my knowledge doesn't the triphase just tell the ecm to dump more fuel? Couldn't this be causing the "fuel mixture too rich bank" ?
I have driven the car for a week after disconnecting the Tri-Phase and I still get the trouble code. Hence I can safely eliminate the Tri-Phase as the cause.
The ECM was reset and as also the Trouble deleted via the Hi-Scan. Still the same problem crops up. Am installing a adjustable cam wheel today and fiddling with the cam timing to see what happens. Problem is the car has hydraulic tappets so cannot adjust them.
